The Difference Between Service and Hospitality

Service is what a property does. Hospitality is how a guest feels. A room can pour the water on time, turn the bed down, and bring the check unasked, and still send someone home feeling like a transaction. Most operations measure only the first half, then wonder why the reviews are warm and never devoted.
